At first I thought "chance" meant "chance to not die" (answer "Yes, of course"). Then I realised it probably meant "chance to win this 9x9 game" to which I answer I am not good enough to read all variations of a 9x9 game to the end from move 5. That's why we play Go, to find out who wins. White's play is rather conservative, but black's shapes are thin so white should probably be able to live in there and komi is big.

P.S. I'm not a 9x9 expert.

I think it depends on many things - most of all on the levels of both players. Assuming they are both of equal rank. If this rank is 'pro' then the answer is NO. If the rank is 30k then the answer is YES. And inbetween - there is a whole rainbow....

If the players are of unequal rank, the there are also various possible answers, depending on the rank....

Strange question....

My abject apologies, but if this question were really a strange one there wouldn't be such a definite and clear answer, would there?

If I should have stated explicitly that I assumed the both players to be supposedly of an equal rank and to be strong enough not to make blunders now and again then I admit it was an inexcusable omission on my part.

There is no definite and clear answer.

I have no idea about pros, but this game is in no way over at this point. Even 9x9 Go is more complicated than that--it is laughable to think about reading out this position to the end.

Any non-omniscient White player cannot resign here and the idea of trying to think about terminal states from this point in the game is a trap that will hurt beginners imo.

For reference and as an example, I fed the position to MFOG which advertises that it plays 9x9 at amateur 3-dan and in its opinion W wins ~45% of the games in a game of itself v itself.
