Since solving life and death is one of the primary ways of improving your game, I would like to have a thread of inspirational tsumegos. Those that left you with a particularly satisfied feeling when you finally managed to solve it. I will start by posting the tsumego that inspired me to start this thread.

Edit: Yeah, black to live unconditionally.

This problem is from Kweon O-min 5p's creative tsumego book 神技妙手(Shin gi myo su).
Took me a full week to solve.
edit : sorry guys it's black to play first and kill white

I dont see in either of these yet whether its white to play or black to play. It doesnt always make a difference, as often the killing point for one is the living point for the other, but thats not always the case.

In my problem, it is not particularly challenging to read how white would kill black. If it was white to play, more or less every move by white will kill black instantly :)

I was just thinking what would be the most retarded way for white to kill black. In this case white can kill black by playing C5 :D

This is one of my favourites. I feel happy just imagining these moves being played out. It's artistry.

Yes. :b3: is the key move. Many people find it counter-intuitive and have trouble finding it. I've seen strong dan players take way too long on such a small problem :)

That tesuji on move 49 would have won this game, which also featured a fun triple ko at the end.

This is from Nakayama's Treasure Chest Enigma. He says that no pro he showed it to could solve it, but it's not difficult for kyu players.

Special Offer! 2 tsumegos for the price of one! After 25 moves this one ends up as a favourite tsumego I had seen earlier, but who doesn't like a Wagnerian prelude? ;-)
