Hi, phillip1882 and did not find a good time to play for the first round. And I think this tournament will be hard for me to organize game anyway as most of the guys are in Europe or America. So I have to quit and please put phillip1882 through to the second round.

Thanks
Daniel

Sorry for the delay! I have been offline for almost a week.

7 out of 8 games are finished, I will contact the players of the remaining game.

Pairings for round 2:

Code: Select all

phillip18 6k - LucianoS 2k
? ? - Laman 1d
jtscarry 3k - quantumf 1d
rafa 4k - lindentree 1d
speedchase 4k - Jedo 1d
ning 6k - topazg 1d
rpchuang 5k - Celebrir 1k
nathan 6k - Marcus 2k
Laman's opponent will be the winner of Tryss vs. Lincarte, whom I will be contacting.

Deadline for this round is the end of July. With holidays and the congresses coming up, I'll give this one a little more time. After the summer, we will move to a tighter schedule.

All results have been processed into the official tournament table at:
http://hiddema.nl/L19-2012.html

Since Tryss and lincarte are a week over the deadline, and I have not been able to reach either of them, I will sadly have to disqualify both players from the tournament. This means that Laman gets an automatic BYE into round 3, and phillip1882 gets a BYE in the loser bracket into round 2, both of which are shown in the tournament table.

Although round 3, and loser's bracket round 1, have not officially started yet, please feel free to play ahead if you and your opponent can find an agreeable time.

The disqualifications are unfortunate. However, thank you very much for making the effort to keep things moving Herman!!!

I beat quantumf by resignation. Great game, many thanks to quantumf (and thanks also to Shane, who reviewed with us).

Very exciting.

I wanted to see 134 at O7. I haven't read it out in depth. But at first glance, it kills everything.

Processed. Interesting game indeed!

Now the whole upper half of the bracket has finished, while none of the lower half has been played yet. Come on, lower half people, don't let the lower half become the lesser half! :)

jts and I played our third round game. I managed to kill a group and then hang on for the win.

I won against speedchase as white, with plenty of mistakes on both sides.
