Wow, that was fast.
THANK YOU, WE ARE COVERED
We are over 300 USD.
One person contributed the entire amount, and that wasn't even the largest donation. We are covered for 2012, and 2013, and part of 2014. Or, we may be able to get enough pizzas so that all of the admins have their choice of anchovies or no anchovies.
If anyone wants a refund, let me know.

Dang it, this always seems to get taken care of before I even see the thread...
That which can be destroyed by the truth should be.

Re: Paying the L19 bills
Id like to see L19 grow. In the thread, Joaz makes a brainstorming of several ideas.
Right now L19 is the largest english forum, and it doesnt have good coverage (lots of people dont know about it) and i dont know how much more active it can get. Of course survival is often the first goal and i think all those that contribute into running this can also aim higher than that.
Now you have gotten a few extra bucks, and even though its not much it can help you get some energy and resources into new ideas. Improvement, over survival, is very motivating and i can tell you first hand that crowd-sourcing works in the go community. Id love to know that 2 months from now, L19 wouldnt be the same thing.
I have no idea what it takes to run a forum, so i dont think i can give an informed advice, but if you plan on things and share them, theres a good chance you get the resources you need to do them.
Regards, and congratulations!

Re: Paying the L19 bills
Not long ago I had an idea how to grow the l19 user base: Give free teaching games on dgs/ogs/kgs/... and post the review on L19. I'm currently testing it, only the games are not finished yet.
