It seems to have gotten better the past day or so. I can usually send out a reply within the first 2-3 tries.

I'm in contact with the service provider trying to resolve the issue.

I don't know if you'd call this a time out or not, but I seem to be having issues on a regular basis when it comes to the Malkovich section when I try to preview my post. But that's the only area I seem to be having problems. Odd. I thought it was my connection at first, but everywhere else works fine. I just previewed this post and it worked fine.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there.

is the issue diagrams not loading after about 18-20 posts or so?

It seems like it. It only started acting like this over the past few days. And sometimes, after I try the preview, the page won't load and then it refuses to let me access this site at all. It's kind of odd. If I reset, it works fine. Just weird. And it affects both of my browsers, strangely enough. I use FireFox and Chrome. I started using Chrome because videos tend to load faster on there.

But like I said, it doesn't do this all the time. It's more of an occasional thing.

Not me. I have the same issue when previewing any post that's been worked on for more than about 5 mins.

Peculiar. I'd say I'm getting timeouts a pretty small percentage of the time. I do see them, but not on the average post, and I've never seen repeated ones for the same post.

I wonder if some people are just having better/worse luck, or if it's a time of day thing.

Still no time outs here... What timezone are you guys on? Could it be that i'm in a low server load timezone?

Getting them regularly on any longer post.

Maybe I just need to be more tongue-in-cheek.

Going back and then re-submitting works, but if this is a symptom of a larger problem, it's probably best to diagnose now.

EDIT: Note, this post timed out

I'm getting time outs in almost any message I've sent in the last 4 or 5 days (before I only saw once or twice). With Chrome, a simple "reload" works (Chrome will ask to resend data, say okay). But this means there's something faulty, server-side. Maybe a too-quick timeout in the database queries?

Yes, my Malkovich posts were timing out like 20+ times a few days back. Now it's closer to once or twice per post. Time might have something to do with it, but the worst experience I had was from 2-3 AM Eastern time.

Well, now it won't let me post in the Malkovich section at all. Everywhere else is fine.

could it be that there are size limitations on mysql tables? (not being all that familiar with mysql myself)

for people who are reporting problems, is it mostly only in the Malkovich forums and/or other heavy diagram forums? I suspect that these tables are quite large by now.

I encounter the issue in almost every time I post, but it seems to be the worst in Malkovich games (but for me it hasn't been that bad the past couple of days).

I am timing out on almost every post I make. I am on during Japan day time and evenings. I use Safari, and I can just click back. All the text is saved for me, but then I copy it, reload the page, then paste and post as quickly as I can to avoid another time out.

I have the same experience except I just hit the submit button again. I do not have to copy and paste. I am using Safari on the iPad. Do you not see the submit button when you click back?

I found that I just could not connect using my ISPs normal browser, until this morning. When I used MS IE and searched using Bing, I could connect and read, but every time I tried to post (or save) a message, I was told that I had timed out. I'm wondering if this will now work.

Best wishes.

I am just paranoid of losing my text, so I copy and paste it. Perhaps it is not necessary.
