It should be perfectly valid for someone to ask how to censor someone (even if they don't know that's what they are asking, or if they've asked it impolitely). It is a feature of these forums. I've had to censor a few people on here in the past, because there are a couple of folks here who just plain rub me the wrong way -- and Robert has never been one of them actually (though I do skip over some of his posts). But different people irritate other people differently. And this forum offers a way to deal with it, that many people may not know. Admins who lock or split threads irritate me. But I'll get over it eventually. |

Which type do you mean? You sound like you consider type I ok while you wonder why a thread about type II has been locked (for probably a different reason). |

IMHO the actual problem here is not asking for that feature to be able to lock sb out of a thread, it is in spelling out the name of the person he wanted to lock out, which is: publicly dissing that person. |
