Cannot find the source of all my worries anymore.

Somewhere (i hope to add the link later, i think it was an articel in the swedish go newsletter)

I was reading about problems with go in Italy between the two italian Go Federations.

Can people of the two sides give their story here?

I think this is the article you are referring to http://homepage.mac.com/bjornwendsjo/go/1-07.pdf from the Nordisk Go Blad (Page 16)

The up-date is that the Italian problem appears to be solved at last.

There was a vote of non-confidence in the Figg on May first, which
the old board (Soletti, Corradi et al.) lost by 67-10.

A large number (41) of those italian players who previously had refused
to have anything to do with the Figg then became members.
A new board of Figg, with honest and sensible people has been elected
almost a month ago. The new Figg president Leonardo dal Zovo and the new
Figg secretary Maurizio Parton will both come to the EGC in Tampere.
AGI still exists too, but Figg is from now on representing all Italian
goplayers in a democratic way, so there should be no more serious problems there.

Peculiarly, the new board doesn't enter into office formally until August 24th,
one of those odd Figg things, so there is some speculation if the old Figg board might still turn up at the coming EGC AGM for a final performance there. Probably not.

All's well that ends well.

best regards,
Henric
