EDIT: Aji's Quest is now posted on Deviantart. My website is defunct and I've kind of decided not to make another one for now. https://www.deviantart.com/inkwolf/gallery/74369340/aji-s-quest Updates will be posted to this thread Attachment: tigers_coloring_sm.jpg [ 64.84 KiB | Viewed 51160 times ] |

Why do I always try to read Go comics from right to left |

If anyone has iWeb and knows a better template for comic reading/picture gallery-ing, I'd be very, very grateful! They have a photo gallery function, I guess, but it doesn't show the pages full size, so it makes for difficult reading. TopazG--lots of rereading of HNG, I'd guess! |

You can't have a website with weak coding skills. |

Edit - to add something more constructive: Inkwolf, what is usually done is to embed each image in a html page, and have links below it, one to the previous comic page, the other to the next. It's more hard work adding a new comic page each time, but it would improve readability. I have no idea how to do it in iWeb, though. Hope this helps. |

Yeah, that's what I used to do with my old comics, and I just finished revamping Aji's Quest to old-fashioned HTML pages, so you can flip from one to the next, now, instead of that really annoying interface. So, problem fixed! The real trouble was finding a nice HTML editor that didn't add all sorts of weird code to the page. But I found an old version of Taco HTML edit on a backup drive (from when it was freeware) and just made new pages based on my old Retired Galactic Presidents comic pages. On the down side, I may have to upload lower quality images, because my dinky little webspace is getting full again. |

??? Was what I said an insult? Oh. I think I might have understood now. When someone says that "you can't have a website with weak coding skills", the implication is that the author of the website is a weak coder, and therefore, the author should not have a website. Weird. No such implication was ever intended when I wrote the words. In fact, I intended them to be taken. Literally. A website can't be had without skills at coding. The OP himself mentioned that he did not know how to add a next button. It seems fair to say that to the extent that someone does not know techniques for making websites, they will not be able to make websites precisely to that extent. Nevertheless, my statement was not an implied criticism, but an observation of and reinforcement of solidarity. It obviously was not taken as such, but that was the intent behind it regardless. |

Thanks, Bonobo! UPDATE TODAY! I just added pages 13-17. I'm getting around the space problem by loading them into DeviantArt and linking to the pages from there. |

Pages 23-26 are up! With lots more to come, this makes Aji's Quest officially my longest comic ever, as it passes both the 25-page ink-drawn Retired Galactic Presidents comic, and my 22-page digital-art Fantastic Children fan comic. Digital art is much easier. It would be hard to go back to the days before undo buttons, scaling controls, cut-and-paste, and easy shading with screen tones and digital airbrush. On the other hands, real pens don;t leave weird little jaggies where the line ends, and when you draw a line, you can actually see where the pen is going, instead of mentally syncing the monitor to the graphics tablet. |
