After an ok start in the upper left, I got myself into big trouble on the right side and had to fight for my life for the remainder of the game.

This game was played last Saturday, when Pandanet was very unstable. I've lost a couple of games because of a lost connection, and in this game, it happened to my opponent. I believe I might have been back to business by then, though.

I learned quite a few things about myself in this game. One is that I still mess up the corners far too often. Then, I'm not too afraid to engage in large scale fighting - it is actually a little bit against my nature - like in chess, I like to have more control. But when then need arises, I seem to at least be able to challenge opponents in a fight.

It resembles my chess development to a certain extent. When I was young, I would often go all out, sometimes just for the sake of it, sometimes because it was virtually forced by some earlier mistake. Later, when I had learned more, I developed a more control oriented, positional style. But I could still take the fight to my opponents, even though I prefer not to where possible...];B[pd]BL[55]C[

I haven't actually learned this stuff by heart, but I had looked up how Black should react against this keima in the Chinese fuseki - but only as far as that Black should play tsuke.

I understand this such that Black wants to make white heavy within Black's area of influence. I've checked the moves up to 12 on Waltheri and so far I've hit Blacks first choices. Come to that, White's keima is only 20th choice so I guess Black should have got a good deal out of this sequence. Now Waltheri has only one game left where White jumped out with L15.

My opponent now rather played a move that feels like unneccessarily strengthening my corner. However, a couple of moves later, I had managed to mess up my good start...]
(;W[od]WL[555];B[pc]BL[534];W[mg]WL[547]C[White jumps out on a larger scale. Looking at he position now, I'm thinking, I maybe should have tried to separate N13 from his friends. On the other hand, there were two hoshis left to attack so I went for that first.];B[cn]BL[509];W[dn]WL[533];B[dm]BL[486];W[em]WL[474]C[Now I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do. I decided to simply connect and maybe take a point like D11 for a stake of the left side. Atari at E6 seems like helping White (see variation).]
(;B[cm]BL[472];W[el]WL[460];B[qn]BL[425]C[I think that I should really play around here to increase Black influence on the right side. I'm not yet worrying about White sticking his head out at E8 because I thought I would still have the 3-3 invasion. But now my opponent chooses the same sequence as on the right and I'm left feeling stupid while looking at his bottom moyo.];W[pn]WL[429];B[pm]BL[415];W[om]WL[405];B[qm]BL[409];W[oo]WL[371];B[dj]BL[392]C[This seems ok for Black but what about White's bottom - it feels super big.];W[co]WL[336];B[qq]BL[382]C[I was getting uneasy about White's bottom moyo. If White goes after the O10 group I hope to live at the bottom to destroy the White moyo.
