Hey guys. I'm just now trying to immerse myself further into the Go teaching 'scene', looking for more students. There's a new website nearly finished by a friend of mine, called http://www.learngo-canada.com, on which I will be featured as a teacher. I also plan to make some contributions to http://allaboutgo.com. If you own a Go website and can feature me as a teacher, are looking for home-made original Go problems, or are interested in some kind of trade of services or resources, please let me know!
Here are some details about my teaching:

I am a 5-Dan of the Canadian Go Association. Currently 4-5d on KGS (rk9, JJKIM).

$10/hour! Can be reduced in bulk!
Will be Skype-capable soon. I offer lessons online (and offline in Toronto area) in pretty much any format. Although the most common are teaching games + review, I also offer group lessons, lectures, live or email game commentaries, Go training regiments tailored to the individual (free for students), free Go resources (links, Go problems, older commented games, my own commented games etc.) and the freedom to ask me Go questions any time.

I have had more than 10 personal students so far, and have been consistently teaching 3 (now 4) for a while now. One such student has improved from 9 Kyu to 3 Kyu just recently over a short period, another was 10 Kyu 3 months ago(had 9 lessons), and now 4 Kyu.

I have volunteered teaching Go at various Go clubs, Anime conventions (such as Anime North), events (such as Road to Asia) and a little while I was in Korea. I have experience teaching all ages (including small children) and always tend to go beyond the paid lesson time.

Please contact me if interested! My schedule is especially flexible before Sept. 2011, though I will still be open for lessons then.

Thanks!

Update:

For those living in Mississauga (or nearby), Golden Key Cultural Centre http://www.goldenkey-culture.com/ has various Go classes, as well as other classes and programs such as math, various languages, and more! As of April 30th, I teach a beginner-level Go class Saturdays from 2pm-3:30.

Golden Key is a place especially great for kids, but many classes/programs have or are targetted to adults, such as the Japanese class.

This very same Golden Key, which has hosted various recent Go events, is having a tournament on the May 21 weekend. Visit site for more info!

Updates about my teaching:

Teaching at Golden Key has taught me a lot about teaching, I've gained a lot of experience, As of late, I've had quite a few more individual students, too!

I now use Skype if preferred!

Most importantly, I hereby update my pricing a little:

$10/hour, NOT reduced in bulk, as this is already slightly less than minimum wage and I am now a busy guy..
In the future, perhaps not soon, I will plan to increase it a little higher, but this will be when A: I am significantly stronger than I am now, at least KGS 6-7d, B: After I've got another year or two of teaching experience under my belt.
To all my students, I hope you go ahead and tell me another wrong with my teaching, andy suggestions etc! I want to improve my teaching just like my Go! If you like my lessons, please recommend me!

Two of the advantages of learning from me are that I understand and remember what it's like at each of the Kyu levels, and that I always go over the lesson time for no extra charge. Sometimes I even go up to an hour longer, depending on how much I want to say. I also offer students advice, occasional game commentaries, quick position questions, homework and other resources all for free.

Thanks!

My KGS these days are TouyaAkira*, AndySohn* and rk9. (all 5d)
I also play on Tygem as RKNINE (7d)

Is this what you categorise as "cringe" inducing?

Okay, I might want to tally how many deaths by cringe I have caused and continue to cause as the years roll on...
