Playing it safe. Let's do a quick count:

B: 35 + 11 = 46 W: 18 + 25 = 43
Pretty close. And it also depends a lot on the position of his hidden move and how much he can do with his sente. If he plays G5 next he gets a few points in the center in gote, so I think he'll take one of the remaining plus zones.

you can play another move. I changed the score,
adding one point for my hidden move and removing one for your last move.
You can add a point again when you play another move.

Hey guys, just wanted to jump in here and comment on this game. I know you haven't been getting many comments, so wanted to say I've been really enjoying this as it plays out (and reading both of your commentaries!). :D

Now to business: ;)

For freegame:
Having pretty closely watched your other Batoo(-kovich) game, this has been fun to watch. You've definitely gotten a hang of the game (I'm not sure even watching all of these if I could play one of these well), and you seem to be playing it very well. I especially enjoy the comments pertaining to the Batoo specific portions of the game and how you think you're doing.

So, not really any question(s), but just a thumbs up and to say, nice game, nice commentary. Keep up the good work!

For Zwergesel:
Question pertaining to freegame's hidden move: now that you've uncovered it, is this a pretty big surprise? You mentioned the fact that it was out there a number of times, but it really didn't seem to affect the way you were playing or planning. Was there a specific reason for this?

Thanks again for the great game so far, guys. :)

@ schultz

Thanks, glad top hear you enjoy this. If you do I guess there are others following this as well.
Yo are right, the difference between never having played Batoo before and having already played 1 game is quite big (at least for me that is). Even that single games allowed me to get some real feeling for the batoo rules, as opposed to passively reading them or watching others play.

If you want to play a Batoo, or regular game with me, here on the forum, just let me know.
