As for a Mac client for Tygem, I am unaware of one existing, but if you can set up Wine on your Mac then you could use Tygem just fine.

I realize the vast majority of mac and linux users are using wine. The option I'm using is to run windows in a vmware virtual machine (VMWare Fusion). The primary motivator for this approach is the large number of Korean websites that aren't quite right without internet explorer. As usual, there is no shortage of ways to get from point A to point B.

I've been hearing about, and ignoring, dual-n-back for maybe four years...
You've convinced me to finally try it...

Remarkable, as I haven't yet tried it myself! :)

I put a starting rank of 2k, have been battered in both games so far. :)
I am on TG as VVolf if anyone wants to say hi. Stable was taken!?! (And I thought it was so unusual...)

When I lose on Tygem, I sometimes have moments where I say to myself, "This is so stupid. I was definitely ahead, and I just made an oversight, so he got some stones there.".

This happens to me more on Tygem than on KGS. I think playing on both servers can make you more well-rounded.

Interesting, I've found this to sometimes be true for me on KGS, but this is probably because the Asian servers are the norm for me. I definitely agree that it's good to play against all styles.

Well, maybe I'm the only one, but I didn't see much difference in my games on KGS or Tygem. :-?
The playing style in the 2k/4k range seems fairly similar.

I was playing around on tygem on a 7k account I have and promptly got trashed three games in a row by another 7k. Sandbaggers on this server are serious..

Were you in one of the China/Korea servers? I've been messing around with a 4D account, gone from strong players to ones who can't even read a ladder breaker correctly. :P

It was Korea.
