Today I played a game against my friend FB [W] 2D EGF.


The 4-5 point is not a viable fuseki option anymore. The early 3-3 invasion is just too good.

This move is not joseki but a mistake.

The same is true for the hane.

Black should not connect.

Now Black had several options. I went for my favourite low approach to the 3-4 stone.

Black should have chosen one of these moves.

The game was even again after black had played some slack moves in the upper left.

But the next two white moves were suboptimal also.

The capture of the white stone was not sente.

But white should have continued with one of these options.

This is too good for black.

After some slack moves black still has the advantage.

Blacks next move is sharp if not answered correctly. White should have just played L4.

The game is good for black again.

White should just connect.

After two more cuts it is time for my obligatory near fatal tactical mistake.
