Hello everybody,

Just a small suggestion concerning the point system. I noticed that the 2/1.5/0.75 system is actually very close from a 3/2/1 system (3 points for the first victory, 2 points for the second, 1 point for a loss). It would favor the winner very slightly more, but the real goal is to get rid of those ugly 0.25 point. I for one think it would look much better.

A less serious suggestion is that I would love an integer komi to get possible jigo in the league - since it is not an elimination system jigos would be perfectly ok and would add a bit a spice to the league, I feel.

I agree that it would look nicer if there were only whole and half points, but the reason it is the way it is atm has to do with how the website calculates the points, which is involves checking the result of a first game and reducing the point value for a second win by a percentage (25% atm).

Well, purely on the notion that it is a good idea to do so, can't the website just multiply everything by two? Or four, to get whole numbers?

Personally? Maybe. But you said so yourself, no?

Math is not my long suit, but here goes:

The current system produces in a one sided contest 3.5 pts for the winner and 1.5 for the loser of both games. A 3-2-1 system as proposed by Jhyn would produce 5 pts for the winner and 2 for the loser, thus creating a slightly larger discrepancy. 2 1/2:1 as opposed to 2 1/3:1. The ratio of the old system, which was not possible to duplicate on the new site was 2:1, so the proposed change would further shift the balance towards the stronger player. To avoid this, it would be possible to simply multiply the current system, but to get rid of any partial points, it would need to be multiplied by 4, which imo would not look any better than it does now.
