I'm looking for resources especially for chinese professional go scene. Ultimately the use case is that I go to yikeweiqi's website and see in the live section games being played. For the games including japanese players I can quite quickly find out what the game is if I want, but for chinese and korean I don't. This great english website has the big tournaments listed, but the chinese tournaments aren't updated as often as the japanese tournaments, probably because the webmaster is japanese: https://gotoeveryone.k2ss.info/news/ Maybe there is a collection of links to up to date chinese version of each of their tournaments somewhere? I don't speak chinese so maybe I need a transliterated list of tournaments first. Looked up some. Links to them can be found here https://senseis.xmp.net/?ProfessionalTournaments#toc4: qisheng 中国围棋棋圣战 chinese kisei mingren 中国围棋名人战 chinese meijin tianyuan 中国围棋天元战[编辑] chinese tengen guoshou 国手 or Huang Longshi Cup (?) chinese kuksu ?? quzhou-lanke cup 衢州烂柯杯 Changqi Cup 倡棋杯 or 倡棋杯中国围棋职业锦标赛 CCTV Cup 中国电视围棋快棋赛 Ahan Tongshan Cup (Agon Cup) 阿含·桐山杯 Longxing (Ryusei) 龍星戰 or 四维数创杯中國龍星戰 South-West Qiwang or Xinan Wang 西南棋王赛 xinren wang 新人王戰 new pros xinxiu 新秀 "new talent" female mingrin or Huang Longshi ?? 名人 Liguang Cup or Ricoh Cup 理光杯 or 理光杯中国职业围棋锦标赛 Chinese Go Championship 全国围棋个人赛 Chinese practice game 中国网练 - This is a game by chinese top professionals that is played on Fox server relayed to Yikeweiqi China Weiqi League divided into A, B, C also known as Jia, Yi and Bing leagues (sponsored currently by huawei 华为 ). For example the current Jia league 甲联赛 is referred as 华为手机杯围甲联赛第12轮 huawei .... jia liansai... Jianqiao Cup or Xianye Cup ?? women's tournament Wang Zhongwang ?? GBA Cup Chinese Weiqi Master Championship ?? National Women Individual ?? equivalent to Chinese Go Championship 全国围棋个人赛, but for women China National Youth Individual ?? Female Xinren Wang ?? Xinren Wang 新人王戰 China Female Guoshou ?? 国手 National Sports Meeting ?? Female National Sports Meeting ?? Nuzi Bailing ?? unofficial female tournament Weiqi city league ?? defunct: weifufang or qiwang 威孚房开杯棋王争霸赛 note: There is a 15th 棋王賽循環圈 "qiwang" going on, which could be related to the above? Some of the games have commentary and it's indicated by a text on the game list with a text like: 一间夹棋圣 or 愛Zen分明. These are probably some amateur players? The A.I. move estimation in Yike is probably based on KataGo. In the game view from the dropdown the (as of now) bottom most option opens up the game in another window showing more analysis. The top bar in this window says 弈客鹰眼 5.0 (Yike hawkeye 5.0) followed by A.I. engine info: KataGo / G170 2020.02. Probably this title bar hasn't been updated, and they actually use a newer engine? A failed example from today's Yike: Today in yikeweiqi there was a match with two chinese players saying 桃花岛冬季联赛A组揭幕战 google translates it to "Peach Blossom Island Winter League Group A Opener". https://home.yikeweiqi.com/#/live/room/96880/0/0 Those characters don't match any of the tournament names I found above. The B player 郑昕 or W 吕映豪 don't match any names in https://www.goratings.org/zh/ so I guess this is a match from even more minor tournament than the minor tournaments listed above? edit: I have got some resources from r/proweiqi and on their discord. For example foxwq.com apparently posts Jia league match schedules in chinese one day before the games are played. Jia league teams 2022: Team Supor Hangzhou 苏泊尔杭州 Team Rizhao Mountain and Sea Elephant 日照山海大象 Team Shanghai Jianqiao Institute 上海建桥学院 Team Jiangxi JDL Environmental Protection 江西金达莱环保队 Team Kaifeng Yikyo 开封弈教队 Team Shanghai Qingyi Youth 上海清一青年队 Team Jiangsu Jiachen 江苏神兽腓腓队 Team Zhejiang Zheshang Sports 浙江浙商证券队 Team Longyuan Mingcheng Hangzhou 龙元明城杭州队 Team Fukang of Tibet 拉萨棋院 Team Chengdu Rural Commercial Bank Team Minsheng Bank Beijing Team Shenzhen Longhua Team Chongqing T23 Team Quzhou Lanke Team Jiajia Foods Tianjin |

I also stumbled trying to find Chinese Go news. I'd appreciate any updates. I had more success reading about Baduk online. |

probably less helpful (news has too much info) http://weiqi.sina.com.cn/ https://www.go4go.net/go/games/tournament peach ... :never heard of that tournament nor the players. From the play in the upper left, perhaps not a professional tournament? https://www.go4go.net/go/games/tournament/112 perhaps? 棋王賽循環圈 qi wang round-robin group? |

It seems that southwest qiwang has had 20 editions already https://senseis.xmp.net/?SouthWestQiwang It could be Taiwan Qiwang. The wording in Yikeweiqi (I think it was) was 第15屆棋王賽循環圈, there are many results if put that in search engine, maybe look those results more carefully later (if bother). Probably around 2022 this tournament would have its 15th edition according to https://senseis.xmp.net/?TaiwanQiwang |
