That's nonsense. It would take less than one hour for wms to fix the sound problem. It's just a matter of changing from one API to another. Somebody already did it in the byte code. wms has the source.
I would really like someone to pinpoint the class and method in the Java API that plays wave ...

Re: Raising money to 'Open-Source' kaya.gs
So you are basically saying that (and correct me if I am wrong, I am just speaking from my limited experience in open-source projects),
1) no matter how much the director directs, you can't just order volunteers around - they will still only work on what they want to work on, regardless of what ...

'Please, sir, I want some more.'

Re: The future of KGS
Wow, I've only read the last couple of pages of this thread, so forgive me if I missed something pertinent, but this is a free server that everyone is complaining about. I could understand the incessant moaning if people were paying top dollar to be there, but they aren't. They are paying ...

Re: The future of KGS
If a server has intermittently slow response times, you can't file a bug report against that. We're dealing with that problem here on L19--no one can write a real reproducible bug report because there's not much of a pattern--certainly no pattern a user can trigger. The only response is to ...

Re: The future of KGS
The most important part of filing a bug report is that you give the set of conditions that reproduces the bug.
If your bug is not reproducible by the developer it will probably never get fixed.
If your bug report just consist of "It lags", I really can't blame the admins for being unable to ...

You will need admins to work with you to perform tests from their side to eliminate it as a network issue first. ...you must be new around here.

Re: The future of KGS
I've already made my experience pretty clear throughout this thread, though: I'm old enough to be paying student debts, but young enough to have grown up under the internet; I am experienced enough in programming (in C, if you care) to have taught courses in and tutored it, but I have insufficient ...

Your neighbour lets you use his car. He even pays for gas. There is a proximity alert on the car to help you park. At some time, the alert stops working. Your neighbour thinks it no big deal and doesn't want to take the time to fix it. He also isn't comfortable with you taking a toolbox to the car ...

Re: Racism on KGS
As any admin can tell you, the problem was a failure to use the proper form. It should have been "As-salāmu `alaykumu".
Do admins do grammar check on profiles and wipe them when they fail now ?
As always we do not discuss private details on matters like this in public forums, however if we ...

You really do not want to run the java virtual machine as a superuser.
If the jvm is exploited, it will have superuser access to your machine.
