Re: resources for beginners

I mentioned in a previous post that I watch some kids that are interested in learning. I am also interested in learning and this site that you recommended should be really great for me. Thanks for sharing and I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

Re: kid friendly host site?

Thanks for that information. I have a couple of kids that I watch and they are interested in learning, and I just don't feel like I have the knowledge to teach them correctly. I will look up this site and possibly get them started during the day. We have a little break right now from school.

Re: Reading

Figuring out the moves that your opponent will make you that much better a player. It helps to think the moves out prior to getting started so that you can anticipate the next move. Good luck in becoming a better player!

Re: Memorizing Games of Professionals

Doesn't it take all the fun out of playing a game if your memorize all the moves? What kind of challenge would that be. Plus, wouldn't that take a lot of time to try and figure out what kind of moves your opponent would be making without actually having the opponent there? I am just confused.

Re: More on Go in China

Your post was so interesting to read. China is one of those places that I would love to visit one day, but sadly think that day is farther away then closer. I could almost see myself there with your descriptions.
