EdLee, can you tell me if you used any masking around the outside of the grid?

Do you have any other tips or pointers for the drawing of the lines? Any pieces of your hard won knowledge you can impart would be appreciated!

EdLee, your grid drawn with technical pen came out very well, I will be happy if mine looks that precise.

My plan is to persevere with the technical pen. First I will try applying more coats of linseed oil to see if that helps with ...

I'm looking for advice on how to ink the lines on the goban I am in the progress of making.

In the book 'Aurorarama' by Jean-Christophe Valtat one of the main protagonists visits a problem solver / riddle decrypt-er character at his house. The house is described as having various chess boards and goban scattered around with partially played games laid out on them.

I really enjoy reading your updates 1986, it's inspiring to see your enthusiasm and love of the game. Good luck with your new 'Zen' approach to winning and losing... I aspire to take the same attitude to my games (and life) but it's tough to actually put into practice in the heat of the moment.
