Re: The End of Kaya

I guess the reason why it didn't go well is because people like to have a client. I hate having to open my browser and navigate to a website when I can just doubleclick on my kgs client. That seems like an unfair reason to not play on kaya, which honestly is twice as good as any other server but ...

Re: can we get rid of the insane admins please?

And finally, i will literally take all ideas into consideration for when i implement my own Admin system .

I have been kind of half following this thread for a while. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned already, but I think the stack-exchange model works pretty well. You maintain activity ...

They have a "feedback" button on the site that goes to: http://kaya.uservoice.com/forums/130479 ... s-for-kaya

I'd recommend adding your suggestion there.

Re: A new server is being developed: Kaya.gs

Why would integration with Facebook be a bad thing? I have some friends on KGS that I met years ago, but we don't have that much time to play each other anymore. Connecting it to Facebook would be handy, especially if kaya.gs would allow turn-based games where we could play a few moves at a time ...

Re: 30k? to 2d? by not playing for a few months?

Thanks for the replies. That make some sense, and I had a feeling it had something to do with the length of time I had not played anything. 2d didn't make any sense though :).

@daniel_the_smith: Maybe playing in the 2d area will bring it out of me...but somehow I don't see that happening :)

30k? to 2d? by not playing for a few months?

I have played go off and on for a couple years (more off than on). I am probably realistically like 25k on a good day. I played a couple rated games on KGS earlier in the year where my rank fluctuated between 27k and 29k. Today I tried to play a 26k bot and it told me I could not play that rated ...

Re: Graded Go Problems vs Smartgo Kifu

I have just started going through the Graded Go Problems for Beginners after doing lots of problems on places like goproblems, smartgo and wbaduk. For me, I am always too tempted to start clicking through the answer and basically trying what looks right until I get it. Reading the book does a little ...

Re: New WBaduk client for iPad & iPhone

I am trying to get this to work on an iPad1 that I am borrowing from work, and it loads the login page with a wait throbber that just spins for maybe 2 minutes. I can enter my login information, but neither "Log In" nor "Guest" buttons respond to touch. Has anyone else seen this, or know what may be ...

Re: Fujitsu Cup

Andys game against Cheol-Han starts at 10 pm tonight! It's apparently going to be broadcast on tygem, buy I wonder if there's any way to watch it on my Mac...

It's possible to install wine through macports and then install tygem with wine. I haven't done this myself, but it should probably work ...
