Re: Learning to visualize

When I visualize the game, I don't so much use my imagination as I do simply look at where I want the stone to go. The motion of my eyes helps to establish the position. If I forget a stone, I reestablish the location by looking back at that point.

Re: go variant

Actually, in this variant, the wrapping of the edges aplies only to the 1-1 points. Should have been more clear.

Re: Interesting Go Variant

long time no see.

Some rules clarifications:

yes, ALL liberties wrap around. The handicap system reverts to free placement of stones by the weaker player.

liberties wrap around, Territory wraps around as well. Also, think of the star points as black holes where no liberties can exist, nor any ...

A rather difficult game

This was a fun, but rather difficult game for me. The outcome being unclear up until the resignation. Being uncertain of my strength, I hope to learn of my weak areas and some areas for improvement.

As to my current regimen of training, I usually do about a page of tsumego a day. Other than that, I ...

Re: Looking for a better opening

I find asking youself what each move means helps alot. Even if your answers are wrong, you'll find out soon enough, after which, you can adapt accordingly. One of the things that really helped me was writing an essay about my games, in which I detailed every move and why that move was played(usually ...
