Hey, no worries. And we are probably the same level at Go. Lol.

I am surprised the number of bloggers pointing their blogs to their g+ accounts. No doubt it is hot right now, but that seems a little premature.

Re: Google+ invite

.... Setting up lists is not as intuitive as Circles, but its functional.

yeah, I think it is this part (not as intuitive) that Circles seems so much better. Facebook's seemingly frequent changes to how they handle privacy and security is a bear. And I think it is almost sinister of them to be ...

Re: Google+ invite

The only thing Google+ has been good for so far is an increase of people spamming invites (is this good?). What benefits do you see in this communication/networking system?

Spamming invites? You mean like posting on a forum asking if somebody wants an invite to try something out? Thought that was ...

Google+ invite

Anyone interested in Google+ invite? If you don't know what it is, you probably don't want one as not that many people are on it right now. But basically it is Google's response to Facebook with one huge advantage (imo)...when you post your latest go game you can do so to your Go, Family, Friends ...

Re: which of these boards, and is there a better one?

My stones are size 34 and 28 for the two sets I have, so assume the Japanese boards will be the best.

Strongly leaning towards the Yutopian one. Eyeballing one of their bowl sets too but they don't have a photo of it. Grrrr.

Re: Mainstream Go Sightings

Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy (starts off with Assassin's Apprentice) has a game that I remembered as being Go....Nighteyes (a wolf, believe it or not) actually sees the stones attacking as a pack sooner than the human (the main character) he can communicate with.

I guess after looking it up the ...

which of these boards, and is there a better one?

I know this is silly to many probably, but even though I have a nice 19x19 board already I find myself playing more 9x9 and 13x13 games on vinyl, paper, or even got a leather board. The thing is, I really want a fairly nice wood board for these purposes. To that end I have searching for a nice wood ...

Re: Fairbairn's Old Fuseki vs New Fuseki now available

.....

"Who is Bob Dylan?" is itself a cultural allusion (to "Who are the Beatles?"). I won't bother to explain. Of course I really know who Bob Dylan is. He's a slugger for the Nationals. Goes by the nickname of Ryan.

Now that, truly make me laugh out loud. Cheers.

As to the rest of your post ...

Re: Fairbairn's Old Fuseki vs New Fuseki now available

edzu, I think you've mis-cued at a few points. I was mildly irritated by logan's first post, but no more. I find language of the type "I hope it's okay if I post some more questions here should they arise reading rest of the book." irritating in general. It's a way of pre-empting a refusal and ...

Wow, if this was in English, or I could read Japanese, I would gladly pay for issues!! Somehow I doubt a translation will come though? Or is Go Weekly translated elsewhere?
