I mean - this is ridiculous.
Robert - you are widely known (at least to me, heh) as making wild but (un)authoritative statements with nothing to support them but your own perception, and this is a good example.

Show me the proof, the numbers, the studies... show me somebody who did that and then ...

AVOID. AT. ALL. COSTS.

Similar experience. I bought it as help for my older son and ended explaining commentaries meaning to him during replaying.

Re: Java security problem

The programmer need not be a security expert to avoid such, but he just needs discipline: check for unequal to zero before dividing, clean the dynamic heap data structures, check input data before processing them.

It is amazing how number of "code vulnerability experts" is raising after each ...

Re: what is wrong with the 4-5 and 3-5 joseki?

Since, this thread was started, I have had several games against the 3-5, is it really good for fighting?
Not without opponent cooperation, but this is a casefor all joseki with good fighting potential. All you need is to learn few peacefull variations and laugh. Chances for punishment thx to your ...

Re: The Life of Honinbo Shuei

SmartGo Books is very useful app/format/idea. Interactive formats are the future, don't you think? Sure I can read Kindle format books on any device, and it is a very good thing, but it is no different than reading a pdf file - same old static content which gives me a pain while studying any ...

BW-Go is usable app for creating sgf files with variations and marks support. Support for kogo's joseki dictionary is included and you can play against a bot. I am using champion go on mobile so i dont know BW-Go bot strength.

Re: Strongest 19x19 AI on the iphone app store?

I have SmartGo, GinseiIgo Hd, Champ Go HD, Igowin HD on my iPad 3.
If you want to get best difficulty on iOS with offline engine dont bother with SmartGo.
Personally GinseiIgo is giving me most problems(highest level settings 19x19)when i have enough time to focus and want to win. So my vote is for ...

Re: Piracy in the Go industry.

Once you download it for free, they can't sell it to you.

This simply isnt true. Not only there are ppl buying go books regradless of downloading big Go book collection from torrents, but you can have even more sales in some cases because you get better info about some books(for "fun", pirated ...

Re: Joseki app for iOS

Hmm, or wait a bit for new EasyGo version and import Kogo's joseki sgf. If you cant wait, Brugo is better choice. Problem is that there arent updates for Brugo and you cant add your own variations  Igowin is even worse.
