Great that they are already providing this recap, I think there is a great group of people working on this. I was unaware of these recaps, I had given up on following the long videos. When I find time for a go video I have been going elsewhere.

Maybe they could edit his section as a stand alone ...

I really enjoy the AGA Youtube channel. However I think it would be more useful to have a next day 20-30 minute recap of a game. It is frustrating to have this great analysis out there but the videos are way too long to go back to and get much value out of.

I think this is a well done metaphor that shows at least a basic understanding of the game.

I agree with Kirby's thoughts about the volatility of the ranking system. I feel deterred from playing many games with one account because the rank will feel "stuck", even if it is just in my head.

I feel a possible solution would be to limit the number of games that affect the rank. For example ...

I agree there is a learning curve when playing tygem but 9k to 3k sounds wrong to me. I would start an account at 5kyu and try there maybe get past someof the sandbaggers.

I personally like tygems system because it rewards playing, while on kgs sometimes you feel stuck.

I agree that the L19 forum seems to be slowing down lately . as to your question of where all the action is now. I have found that both the http://www.advancedstudyroom.com/ASR/ and the newer http://studygroupkyu.org/ have been fairly active communities that are trying to grow.
