Thanks so much Bill! Your comments are really helpful. Oh and you're totally right that I'm not ahead at 160 or whatever move it is (well it's pretty close by my counting, which isn't top knotch, but he has a ton of sente end game moves). I built up that huge framework on the top and I assumed the ...

Re: Game collections
I know The Killer of Go by Sakata Eio has some of his commented games (maybe try some of his other books too like Middle Game of Go). For some free resources try this site: m . They have some pretty good commentaries. There are few of Sakata and Cho's games. Unfortunately, most commentaries are ...

So so close!
Hey guys I'd really appreciate a review or any comments at all. I almost had the game, but I didn't see move 170 coming. Pretty much after that all my attempts were out of desperation. Thanks for any comments in advance!

Short term stuy plan for a Tournament
What would everyone do in the short term ( few days to a week) to prepare for a tournament? I feel like cramming would be ineffective and just wear you out. I have a local tournament to prepare for and I'm wondering how to approach my study plan.

Re: YMI Shin Kaya
I would upload a picture of mine, but I left it at home (I'm at school in a dorm). In my experience, I have to say that the pictures actually represent the products very well. Although if you live in a very dry climate, the board will probably warp so I wouldn't recommend shin-kaya if you lived in ...

Re: Overcoming mood
Thanks everyone I'll try some of your different approaches. I've noticed that I usually play better on the weekend. I usually play to relax after a long day, but I think this is the issue. I come home tired and this affects my play. However, I'm not going to stop playing during the week. I'm ...

Re: Overcoming mood
Okay let me describe my situation a little more. Sometimes when I play I'm calm and relaxed and just play overall much better. I see urgent moves more and overall my game level is much higher. Other times I get agitated while playing and don't play up to par. Because of this, my game is not very ...

Re: "The Go Master" on Netflix
Also saw the movie. It wasn't that good. The story did not focus on go and was quite confusing at some points, but I caught on. Although the movie failed to emphasize go, it did provide a nice historical background. If the movie is accurate, then I learned much about Go's life and the hardships he ...

Overcoming mood
Has anyone else had this problem? I notice my mood or psychological state greatly affects the way I play. Sometimes I play 3-4 stones stronger than I usually play while other times I can play 2-3 stones weaker. I'd like to eradicate the ambivalence from my game. Does anyone have any tips or ...

Improve Fast at Go - Milton N Bradley
It's a free ebook here: http://users.eniinternet.com/bradleym/I ... Index.html
Has anyone read this book? What are your thoughts on it? I've started the first chapter and find some of the problems in the first chapter challenging, although I got most of them right.

Re: How old are you?
Yeah I definitely agree. I enjoy living on my own much more than when I lived at home. Way more fun and much more freedom. However, the stress level definitely goes up and now I have to worry about financials, ect. Thank god for financial aid though!

Re: How old are you?
18 and I feel much older. Paying for college without parental help has stressed me out. Not to mention on constantly seeing kids blow their parents money on food, clothes, ect. makes me jealous. Hell, half these kids would be homeless if their parents said, "You're on your own." Oh ya also wondering ...

Thanks Mitsun. Very helpful. I'll try and look out for the vital moves as opposed to the big moves.
