Re: Amanda Todd: The Impact of Cyber Bullying
I do not feel sympathy for her. Sympathy is reserved for people that I respect. To put it simply: I do not respect people who commit suicide.
I'm sorry, but this is such a terrible thing to say. What makes it worse is that you're not the only one who feels this way; there are so many comments on ...

Re: Amanda Todd: The Impact of Cyber Bullying
Yeah, I have no idea. I mean, after she drank bleach and went to the hospital you'd think her parents would've have supervised her constantly to make sure something like that didn't happen again, and to ask her about how the whole thing happened, but no. It's really awful. Bullying in general isn't ...

Amanda Todd: The Impact of Cyber Bullying
Hey guys. I don't know if you've heard of this or not, but it's a pretty big story at the moment, so I decided to post this here.
This was taken from Wikipedia:
Amanda Michelle Todd (died October 10, 2012) was a 15-year-old Canadian teenager who committed suicide attributed to cyber-bullying ...

Famous Go Games Re-enacted
So I recently discovered a YouTube channel which has posted some funny videos re-enacting some of the famous Go games of the past. Their most latest video is called "The Game of the Century" and is modeled after the famous game between Go Seigen and Honinbo Shusai. I thought the videos were funny so ...

Me (15 kyu) versus Fuego (don't know rank)
So a few days ago I downloaded this program which allows you to play against a Go robot called Fuego. I recently played a 9x9 game against it, and I did alright I guess. I lost eventually by 4.5 points, but it was a good match I think. The program I use doesn't allow you to save the game as an SGF ...

Re: KGS 18k (me) versus 19k
I think Lorill advises you to play 206 at E3 or ( maybe even better ) E2. In that case your bottomgroups are connected and safe. And your leftside group remains safe. So you won't suffer the loss that you suffered in the game. B's cutting was supposed to be at E5 in case you played E3 or E2 ...

Re: KGS 18k (me) versus 19k
I am very sorry for this really late reply, there's a lot going on right now and I'm sick too so yeah, I'm sorry. Anyway, thanks for all the help you've given me guys, I really appreciate it.
Now to try to answer lorill's questions...
Someone will probably comment on shape and tactical problems ...

KGS 18k (me) versus 19k
Hey guys. This is a game I recently played on KGS that I would really like to have reviewed. I know that I made some mistakes in the upper right hand corner that resulted in my opponent killing off a lot of my stones, but what other mistakes did I make? I actually ended up winning by 7.5 points, but ...
Re: Depressed
Oh wow, thanks for all the replies everyone! It means a lot to me...
I'll try my best to improve from now on, and I won't become depressed again. I'll learn from my mistakes and become better at Go.
Once again, thank you very much for your nice replies. You guys are great.

Re: Depressed
I don't have the game record but I don't really care.
If you don't, why should we? We cannot tell you about your mistakes unless you tell us what you have done. Just post a match where you got destroyed and check the comments.
I'm sorry, I was just really upset when I wrote that but I'm feeling ...

Re: Depressed
Okay well I just played him again on a 13x13 board and won 46 to 14 (we didn't use any komi).
Yeah this is awkward...
I guess I kind of underestimated him in the first game and didn't take him very seriously, so I didn't really read ahead at all. Well I learned two things from this: One, always ...

Depressed
I'm so freaking depressed right now...I was playing Go against my older brother and we started with some smaller board sizes like 5x5 and 9x9...and then we moved on to 13x13. I got destroyed by my brother. I don't have the game record but I don't really care. Why did this happen to me? I play as ...

Re: Mainstream Go Sightings
I'm guessing this is the right place to put this...well, my little brother is reading this book called Whirligig by Paul Fleischman and he showed me a part of the book in which Go is played. I thought it was pretty interesting, so yeah...just wanted to post this here.
