Mobile clients

For iPad tesuki is great, but for iPhone the only interface I enjoy playing on is the boardz interface. Where drag and drop works and the stone stays a little bit above your finger until you drop it. I've only played one game on tetsuki because i was so worried about misclick and having to zoom ...

Does anyone have a big boat?

Anyone want to be my buddy?

I'm also 9k and in Texas but don't know if my schedule is normal enough for weekly set games.

But either way lets play a game and see whats up with our schedules. Or you twitchy. I'm always down for a game with anyone. :)

Finding opponents when you are new to Go

I agree with everyone. In general, I think it's smart to have people better than you, at least one opponent at your level as a competitor to pull you along, and then also start teaching others about the game.

This keeps me motivated, I'm able to efficiently learn (as much as Is able with family ...

Short/Intense but interesting game...

Thank you... I also got pm'd an sgf where someone showed me all the weakness in my shape when I tried too hard to kill. Very eye opening.

For some reason I have trouble finding the balance between healthy aggressiveness and being too passive. I tend to do extremes.

Short/Intense but interesting game...

For a while I was playing way too conservative... And since I've began trying to be more aggressive without being too greedy, I've jumped 4 ranks without much study. Based on this game I think I am getting a little too greedy for my beginner lack of knowledge of good shape, and my reading ability? I ...

Go Problem Sgf's

While books are easier to keep from just guessing at the problem, if you have self-restraint having them on a computer or in my case my phone, allows me to always have a good source of problems no matter where I'm at. If I'm in line, or waiting for something I can practice reading.

I like books ...

Go Problem Sgf's

While I'm sure this has been discussed... It's hard to search for since sgf isn't getting searched (says it needs to be more than 3 characters?) and problems is so generic.

Is there a good organized problem collection I can buy in sgf to import into easyGo for the iPhone? I also considered making ...

I definitely did not know this... Thanks

Re: Beginner, with difficulty understanding the rules

The Learn to Play Go series really changed my game when I first started and was very effective in being beginner friendly. It also has a review section at the end. The most important thing though is to keep playing games as you read. Atleast 1 game per chapter.

This along with just having fun and ...
