Re: Banned.. for letting friends use computer

It's common for commodity residential ISPs in Unistat as well. (Some of them offer static IPs for extra cost.)

Re: The Probability of a Monkey Defeating Yi Chang-ho

We can assume Random But Not Stupid Monkey who will pass if and only if all legal moves fill an eye.

Is anyone else amused by how there've been 125 posts here about a blog that, as far as I can tell, has had zero non-spam comments posted to it?

Reminds me that I'm told Bobby Fischer once said his favorite part of chess was the look on his opponent's face when they realized they'd lost.

Re: Sgf Management For IPad

As I've said other places before, I'm not an iPad user so I don't know if this directly applies -- but can you just select all your sgf files on your iPad and push them via bluetooth to your computer?

You don't have direct access to the filesystem on an iOS device. Each app mediates access to its ...

Re: Scoring ko

Under AGA rules, unless B disputes that e16 is alive, it is a point for W because it is entirely surrounded by live stones of a single color.

That said, W would have done well to play e17 instead of passing; it prevents the issue from coming up, and because of how the AGA rules work, it costs W ...
