Ok, good to hear that the project is alive.

Re: Go commercial started

A month since last post on http://www.playmorego.com/en/
It seems strange to me since new posts were fairly regular previously.
Did something happen?

Re: [news] European Professional Go System established.

What would the companies get out of this deal no matter if it's all fair and square (which I prefer to assume)?

Regarding Swedens awareness, it's all to do with internal logistcs, it would probably have been different with a longer time before voting but the main problem was with our own ...

Re: [news] European Professional Go System established.

I am wholeheartedly positive to this agreement and I sencerely hope and think that it will be good for European go.

However, there are a number of questions...
Democracy:
Was there enough time given to the people voting to fully understand what they were agreeing to?
Was there enough time given to ...

EU pro system + Chinese rules etc

I am somewhat surprised that this hasn't been discussed here, or has it?

Re: Blog Announcement

Well, well, well.
I'm not angry or disapointed or anything, but maybe it's time to look back at what went wrong? If for no other reason so that others may learn from the mistakes.

Personally, if I would (or could) engage in a similar project I would have concentrated on core features mostly ...

Re: Chinese vs. Japanese table boards

Jang Stones no 2 are 22/8.5 mm and 21.7/8.3 mm respectively according to the manufacturer.
Korean stones are said to be a bit smaller than Japanese and I think that this may be true on average, though maybe not in the Jang stone case.

Re: Buying equipment in Europe

Let's take those magnetic roll-ups as an example.

I can buy them for $ 20.63/set if I buy 200 sets; let's say that my total costs will be $40 ($8 000) or €25 (€5 000).

Let's say I sell them for €40, which seems like a likely price for me to chose. A bit simplified that gives me a profit of €15 (€3 ...

Re: Buying equipment in Europe

Just a couple of points from my point of view...

1. There is no use trying to compete on a international level; even with almost no profit, sales will be too low to get a good deal on shipping.
For larger volumes, both prices and shipping gets more favorable, which is why I prefer to deal with ...

Re: Advice needed - Inking the lines on my self-made goban

My guess is that a glossy finishing may cause the ink not to stick, a bit of sanding may help, but I'd say a more matte finishing would be better, would look better too IMO.
Depending on exactly what kind, one night may not be enough for the first layer to dry, or a couple of hours may be enough ...

Aaand we're back

mohsart.se is up and running again after some hectic times wrapping up Christmas sales and taking care of my offspring.
I still have a busy time cooking, cleaning, changing diapers etc so may be a bit slow in the near future. And the stock needs some updating...

As some have noticed, I have the ...

Re: Advice needed - Inking the lines on my self-made goban

My guess is that either or both of 1. Apply a clear varnish on the wood before drawing the lines or 2. Use a thicker kind of ink.

Sadly I don't know how to format it better on this forum :(
Perhaps "code" does it?
