If you're wedded to leela-zero and lizzie I can't help you. If you're just interested in getting some AI going, I had fairly quick success with katrain (https://github.com/sanderland/katrain). I ended up having to build katago from source on an Ubuntu system, but that was without difficulty.

Installing Lizzie, Leela-zero and KataGo on a new PC.
I have a new PC, bought for the purpose of running KataGo.
The CPU is an i7-14700K and the GPU is a GeForce RTX 4060.
Once again, my son built the PC and we installed Debian 12 together.
(I was previously stuck on Debian 11.) Video output goes
through the GPU and everything seems to be working.

I also know Matthew a bit, having been a regular at the Leamington Go Club
for 10 years, until poor health intervened this year.
There is no sign that he is annoyed with the BGA: he still does occasional
commentaries on British Championship games. He is a life-time member of

Re: How to Install TensorRT?
I have some doubts about the following well-intentioned advice.
You may actually find it quicker to put a second drive into your computer, install Linux and build katago from scratch there. You'll likely be able to find more support if you're desperate for TensorRT.
It feels timely to say that ...

Re: KaTrain Questions
Robert,
Thanks for your detailed posts on these topics. My small comment is that Lizzie
may also be buggy, at least on my system. If you have time, please run the following
test.
1. Load a game into Lizzie for analysis by KataGo.
2. Select a small number of visits, for example 50, by typing a50.

I'll bite. The answers begin with a # character. Please assume IDC where

Completely Different Questions About KaTrain
I also have some questions about KaTrain. KaTrain and KataGo were installed using Debian Linux,
and the pip3 installation method.
I tried to upload a screen shot as a PNG or JPEG file, but both attempts failed.

Robert,
I run KataGo under Linux, but there may be some useful information for you.
You asked about the many files called katago.exe on your system. Under Linux.

On a related question, not every notebook has all navigation keys as dedicated keys. When using go AI software, which navigation keys are needed frequently? Arrows keys? Pos1 and End? PageUp and PageDown? Is a mouse needed or will any touchpad do?

I have used Lizzie and KataGo as suggested at the top of this thread.

insight, but it is sometimes possible to see the merit in KataGo's ...
