Re: How do I memorize pro games?
About the pattern recognition thing: the same thing goes for your own games. If you recognize the bad moves you will improve too. Perhaps it would be beneficial to memorize your own games. But it is so, what is the word, humiliating. And by memorizing pro games you get to see moves you didn't think ...

I don't like facebook and google+ and such, would be bad to have to use them to play go online.

Good luck!
Remembering a few simple joseki and invasions is fun, and replaying pro games from your favorite player for the first 100 moves until you can do it by heart (one game at a time) is also fun and gives me the feeling I learnt something. However, most people seem to advice to just play a ...

Re: Tsumego App on a mobile device
On my iPhone I am happy with EasyGo. It can import problem collections as zip files and it is easy to edit your own problems. euro 10.99 though for the full version.

Re: Nanny on OGS
Thank you very much for the review EdLee. Obviously need to work on basics, so I am first reading Lessons in the Fundamentals of Go by Kageyama again before I continue Attack and Defense. And going to play that Nanny bot again when I have time. Will post here again when I finally win.

Nanny on OGS
I played against bot Nanny on OGS, 19 Kyu, like me on OGS. At several points in the game I just did not now what train of thought to follow and just tried to play the safest or most valuable point. Such uninspirational play of course leads to a big loss. I am reading Attack And Defense but find it ...

This.
Also I have seen Bill Gates playing bridge with a sponsored partner in high-level tournaments. He is obviously interested in Mind Games.

On this site, if I click one of my bookmarks to go to another site, I am redirected to this site's homepage. So I have to open a new tab or close the browser to go to another site. Using Firefox on Windows Vista.
