Programming a client.

Is there an place to find information about creating a client for one of the turn-based servers? I know many Web services have apis available. But can't see much beyond grabbing status. I know anDGS does it, and other apps. I'm curious as to how they pull that data.

Re: GO clubs near Pensacola Florida?

Off topic, but I grew up in that area. It's not often you come across Pensacola or Fort Walton online.
Unfortunately I'm pretty far away now. This makes me want to get the local group together again

Re: Wrong score in 9x9 game?

fuego just kind of seems to do whatever it wants to in terms of score. I once had it just mark the whole 19x19 board dead, take his 6.5 points and leave the game.

Re: Looking for an android AI

Might be worth it to look into some servers that have stonger bots and play them using the android client. Something like KGS. Though the bots are often in use. There may be other servers, like oro maybe that has an android client and additional bots. Pandanet has bots avalable all the time, but ...

I didnt get to watch for very long, but It looked pretty good. The only issue I noticed was that the volume of the adds was about 2-3 times louder then your commentary. For some reason adds are always louder it seems

I still say its fun to make your own sounds. For some reason a game is just so much better when every stone goes "Boink-Mooo"

Re: Balancing Immediate and Long-Term Pleasure

I don't know if there's really a rush to get better in go. Unless you have some special reason you have your whole life to get better. Just keep playing and you will keep improving.

On the other hand if it was something you were making a job of (as I'm doing with compsci) You have to achieve some ...

Re: Oh, I'll play tommorrow. (No, you won't.)

One of the things I really enjoy about the game is that it has a very solid ranking system. I love playing, but one of the things I love about playing is going up in rank. Its very quick to see improvment as a quantified number vs other games where you might only be able to have a subjective idea ...
