The analysis of professional games is most helpful after one already possesses a great deal of knowledge about the game. There is so much more one can do that will greatly help their playing strength instead of replaying professional games. It doesn't hurt to read, either.

There is no secret to winning. You must bust your chops, and learn more about the game than you opponent. An opponent who always goes for the sides will lose to a more flexible opponent.

In my opinion, the more you can improve, the better. Sudden improvement is great, but sometimes causes laxity in one's studies. This can cause the player to hit walls, as they somehow expect that improvement will continue withought further effort. This is bollocks, sadly. Any great rise in strength ...

The sgf file got corrupted somehow. So I had to create a diagram showing the rest of the game. White played an interesting tesuji that wins her the game. I have decided to show that tesujii in board diagram.

In my experience, reading a global position is done differently than reading out tactical variations. For one, I do not pick random spots on the board. Instead, I am much more likely to let the shapes and structures on the board influence broader strategy. At this level ...
