Wishing to Purchase Korean Pro Game Yearbooks

Once when I was in Korea I saw wonderful, thick "yearbooks" full of commented pro games from that year, in english, and had information about pro players and tournaments too! Many photos. The cover had some photos I think. It could be purchased from the Hanguk Giwon for like $30 or $40? SO does ...

Re: Why is this joseki?

If the situation is right, black can also play a better move on the outside. Instead of pushing on the outside, which will be met of course by white's Hane, black can jump, causing himself to become cut-able. White is unlikely to cut right away because he will be made into a dumpling and ...

Re: Toru's Go Lessons Club!

Thanks everyone! Okay, I will find any old game commentaries and do new ones for a friend and post here when I have time soon. And I will make a few forum comments! I only commented once on a game in here so far.

Re: Toru's Go Lessons Club!

Does anyone find the price is too high for them?

I can slightly reduce it.

I can also offer typical teaching games. I can offer 5 two-hour lessons for $120 total.

I can also offer one trial lesson - first lesson for $15, first lesson only.

Looking for students :)

Re: Toru's Go Lessons Club!

WOW! What a website! No, that is not me. I live in Canada.

I didn't used to hold onto any lessons I've done in the past, pretty foolish! But I have a little, but they're on a computer that I will take a few days before I can access.

I was mostly self-taught when I was a weak player and I've been ...

Hello, friends!

My name is Toru. I am offering Go lessons in any format. I have come up with a big new deal we could all have fun and improve a lot with. I believe the package would be very effective for raising your level quickly, and the monthly price I believe is a very good and efficient deal ...

Re: Hello! I teach Go, nice to meet you!

Hello!

Not really, I don't know what the differences are among the countries, but I seem to be 6d in Japan as well as Canada. I don't know about America or elsewhere. I just know I'm not like a Canadian or KGS 7d. In the past I tried KGS, I was 5d or 6d, it went up and down. A year or so ago a ...

Re: I beat breakfast!!!!

I didn't read the comments, but here are two things I thought of pointing out, just possibilities.

Firstly, I do not believe the peep you thought you should have done on the right would have been good, it's a thank-you move. Also, in the bottom left when discussing endgames, I don't think your cut ...

Hello! I teach Go, nice to meet you!

Hello everyone, new to the forum and saying hello!

My name is Toru. I've been playing Go for years and I'm looking to help others improve their Go. I will post something sometime in the teachers' section, as I am accepting students at the moment. I'm working on creating a big Go lessons package ...
