Re: i should have won!

It looks like you shouldn't have won to me.
Saying you should have won is like another way of saying "I made a mistake".

Review your game (or let it get reviewed), find the mistake, learn from it. And next time you will win a game like this.

Accepting a loss is much more valuable than you think in ...

Re: Game in progress

Hm, I disagree that the right is not secure. I'm pretty sure that the right side is at least 18 points of solid territory that cannot be invaded. And the top left isn't 10 points either because white can reduce it in sente. But other than that, you might be right about the lower right side where I ...

Well if he won by more than 6,5 points he still won an "even" game :p

Reading vs direction of play

A friend of mine and me are both roughly equally strong but our styles are completely different from eachother.

My friend is very strong at reading long and deep sequences, but I'm much stronger at direction of play.

So I was wondering, what do you think is more important?
Reading deeply, or ...

Re: Project Shodan, KGS nick - Vladimir

don't fall into the same trap as I did. I had the same feeling as you when I was around 5kyu. I should study more and not just play play play. So I ended up studying 90% and playing 10%. In the end, I know how to explain things really well, but I play like a newbie

I'm really far behind in ...

Game in progress

First off, this game is still in progress.
I will be posting parts of the game which are interesting for discussion and keep adding to it as the game progresses.

I recently started playing a really slow game with a friend of mine. He is slightly stronger than me, so he took white with no komi.
My ...

5. Opening Theory Made Easy - If you only read one theory book at this level, this is the one. It's a lot more subtle than it appears, it'll still be relevant to you as a weak sdk.

It's still relevant for strong SDK and low dan players. A lot of things are common sense for them but most of it ...

Re: Malkovich registration - sign up here to play

I would like to play a game against someone much stronger than me. That means between 2d and 7d.
Preferably without handicap, but I'm willing to take up to 4 stones.

I don't like taking handicap because it forces me to play differently from how I usually play with the 4-4 stones and it just feels ...

Re: Are you strong enough?

Yes i am strong enough.
My price is free.
I am busy so i can not play in igs.
my suggestion is play game with stronger players.
i mean play with me in DGS and try to climb up to two stone.
i will review the game with you here.
if you can withstand two stone then you will be solid 1D.

i think in 3 ...

Are you strong enough?

Are you strong enough to teach someone who's floating between 1k and 1d to get to solid 1d?
If so, reply here.

We can discuss a price if necessary.
