Re: These dvd's look interesting...
The real socks? me too, but they were danced to dust. They're not the sort of things one finds an easy replacement for so will likely stick with abstract socks, though is sort of refreshing this way. If only deleting all my avatars could parley into the needed ingredients and or elements to keep me ...

Re: These dvd's look interesting...
Thank you so much quanloh.
Little bummed it's all joseki stuff, but maybe that's a good thing as would not likely study this subject in foreseeable future and at least this way may trick a useful tidbit here or there.

These dvd's look interesting...
Anything you can tell us about these will be appreciated (at least by this little stone slogger). If is what seems, a weiqi master and educator lecturing on games or elements of the game with real rocks and a board on dvd's viewable with tv and pc a long search has reached a winning endgame.

Re: Diagram positions from sgf's?
Oh yes, figured as much, that question was general to capture races (not regarding the creation of diagrams). Thanks again guys you've made my week! But the thread seems odd without a diagram of some game position in it so here is a position from a very exciting one I saw recently between Yamada ...

Re: Diagram positions from sgf's?
That's so cool thanks guys! Had Drago already so used that and is supper easy (yay)! On second glance the position mentioned above was not so complicated, but is there some good method to use when capture races do get a little tough to read say with the posiblity for eyes and or ko's?

Diagram positions from sgf's?
Often see full game positions posted here in diagram form and am wondering how folks are making them, I know how to post diagrams (m) where you add the moves a stone at a time (number them what ever you like) but this seems impractical for posting a diagram of a late endgame position where we are ...

Nice review. Though it sounds quite interesting, having a bookcase with many go books waiting to be read I'd probably pass for the time being if not for this bit:

Two much appreciated improvements in latest app update
Usually watch WBaduk games on my phone quite a lot but hadn't been just recently so not sure how long this update's been out. Two things immediately noticeable are 1: when accessing problems from their tsumego collections the board (13x13) now expands to take up all the available space on the screen ...
