A molasses ko makes the game five times slower. If there is two molasses kos of differnt sizes the game get 25 times slower. There might be even more molasses kos.

Many years ago I discovered a patch for the "pass-for-ko rule. Even with it there wolud be other flaws in the J1989 rules, so I didn't bother to release it. Anyway:

I have now found a position where all three rule stes have distinct best starting moves, but they are able to prolong the game without gaining points by choosing other moves.
