As a beginner i just remember moyo games. i used to take the star points, the other guy used to take star points. (they were marked on the board, they must be important!!! )

The 10 josekis (includes a variation) i think a beginner should know would be:

I wouldn't recommend doing that volume of the graded go problems for beginners series unless you a single digit kyu.

Hmm, yes. I'm still confused, then. Unless the commentary or diagram was incorrect, and it is actually 3 liberties here.

That does seem to be the case.

This post has no analysis but i do have a suggestion.
Don't play these weak bots, play some non-bots (humans, aliens etc ). I say this because some of the moves by this bot were pretty bad. To give an example, the upper left corner would not be open for that length of time against a normal opponent ...
