Yes, I got the impression that it will be released in August. Either way they are working on it right now.

Re: Underranked & overranked countries
@Mohsart Yes you understood me right. And as you say maybe Sweden is in the middle with a good rank system if we take all European countries in account. But I still have a feeling we are a little bit under ranked. I have to play tournaments in other countries to figure it out.

Re: Underranked & overranked countries
I have a feeling (OooHoo) that Swedish players are a bit stronger than their rank.
Maybe half a stone or more... Statistics might tell.
Almost off topic...
At the same time they have less EGF GoR points compared to their rank.
For example a Swedish 1D might have 2000 rating points which should be ...

Re: European Go Tournament Calendar
National and international events can be advertised on this page (shown in black) - please email your details.
All open tournaments can probably be listed there.
Only closed tournaments can not. Like a club championships.

Ah, yes there are some more!
I missed the link because I mistook it for a page title.
This page is quite good but I would like to see more tournaments in it.

European Go Tournament Calendar
Hi,
I am thinking of playing in some European tournaments in the future.
Maybe I can go to 2-3 different countries each year. That would be fun!
So I started to search for a central tournament calendar to plan for which tournaments to go to.
On the eurogofed I found a link to m

Re: Dinerchtein vs van Zeist
I think it is the organizers responsibility that the clock is not broken.
Then it is the players responsibility to adjust the sound to their preference.
A lot of players choose to turn off the sound.
If they loose on time it's their own fault.

Re: Announcing IgoLocal - Physical Go Server & Location serv
This site is a good thing.
I hope a lot of players register and mark their approximate location.
It is also nice to see the location of different go clubs and other gathering points for playing go.
I hope this page will be used by Asians as well.

Re: When did you start playing go?
In 1998 a coworker was playing online after work and I was working late. I went over to talk and saw him play. So I started to ask questions about the game and he described and I was intrigued. Later he taught me the rules and how to play on a 9x9 board. Then he gave me a copy of igowin.exe and I ...

So for non portable installs the user appdata directory is the correct choice probably. But how do I distinguish portable installations from non portable ones?

Re: Which EGC prizes do you prefer?
I want to see cups and diplomas as prices.
I think no money need to be involved as prices in amateur tournaments.
Instead I can imagine a lower playing fee.
I see that some strong and semi-strong players want to get some payment for using their brains more efficient than others.
For those I would ...

Re: who qualifies as european?
I would prefer a rule of something like "Is living in an European country now and since X years".
Here X should not be more than 5. I think 3 years should be enough.
It is possible to become European citizen and get European passport after living in Europe for 3 years.
Oh really? And which ...

Re: who qualifies as european?
It is fair to say that you should be European to win the European Championship.
The question was who are Europeans?
As said, the definition is someone who is living in or are originating from Europe .
So this would include anyone living in an European country.
It would maybe include students but ...
