Hi Paradox, even without looking at the SGF,
we can just look at your screenshot, and immediately
notice something is off on the lower left corner for W:
at least one stone there seems misplaced: the empty triangle
there is suspect.
After the game, have you studied the joseki starting
with Kitani ...

Invasion Help
First off, I'm not sure what happened in this KGS game, but I (white) did horribly. I resigned shortly after this, but, how should one respond to this invasion (Black at Q3) in later games? It seemed like a very arrogant play, and I wanted to punish it, I just had no idea how.

Re: My Fuseki
I just go to random pages on SL, look at good shapes, common terms, stuff like that. For Go Problems it's similar; I just do random problems. So Life and Death, Tesuji, etc.
Another thing that might help is to focus your approach a bit. Visiting random pages and reading some bits here and there ...

Re: Re:
What do you suggest I do? I read Sensei's Library quite often and practice on Go Problems all the time. But I continue to mess up basics like the ones in my game.
What do you read on Sensei's Library and what problems do you solve?

Re: My Fuseki
I'm not a fan of saying the first [five] moves don't matter much.
The fuseki seems like playing an extension before a shimari, which is conventionally a mistake.
Of course, more detail is probably in order.
I think the extension (q10) is just a moyo building move, and your two corner stones don ...

Re: My Fuseki
I can usually set myself up pretty well, but then fail during the actual battle. Exactly. This is why your first 3 opening moves (or even the first 10 or 20) don't matter so much,
unless you make some bad moves (like opening at 1-1, or 2nd line too early, etc.),
or like in game 1 -- it's mostly in ...

Re: My Fuseki
Well, one thing to think about is time use. In the first and third game you're using about 6 seconds per move, in the second, what, 12-15 seconds per move? Some people swear by blitz, but I would say (i) choose time limits appropriate to your playing speed to improve your focus, and (ii) experiment ...

Re: My Fuseki
Thanks for all the responses everybody! Wow. There was a lot of helpful information posted.
I do think a major issue of mine is misreading fights and situations. I can usually set myself up pretty well, but then fail during the actual battle.

I've played 3 games with it without a win. Your , , and most likely did not lose the 3 games; rather, later mistakes did.
If you post your 3 losses here, then we can see if this is indeed the case.
Also, wineandgolover's suggestion of 10-20 games is good -- the statistics will be better

Re: My Fuseki
I've played 3 games with it without a win. I'm starting to agree with some of the comments; it is a little too over concentrated on the right side. Plus, white never approaches the bottom right, because that's too dangerous. So next game I might be better off playing elsewhere after white 6.

Re: My Fuseki
Normally, if you create a fuseki, it's you explaining why you chose to play this way rather than asking for other people's feedback first. Why do you want to play this way? What are the objectives you are trying to achieve by playing this way? Then people can help you evaluate if your objectives ...
My Fuseki
This is a fuseki I created. Can I get some thoughts? I won 1 game with it and lost another so far. I need to figure out exactly how to work with it.

Can't Access Pages
I can't seem to access a lot of pages right now. I've noticed this mostly occurs in threads with multiple pages. Anybody know what's going on?
(I saw that there was another post asking this, but I couldn't access that page either, haha, so I don't know what the answer was)

Re: 8k trying to improve
As to the misreading: I think I do that a lot too. I think my opponent will respond in a different way. What's the best way to gauge how my opponent will respond?
I guess that depends on what the source of the misread is. If you have considered many variations but failed no notice something (like ...
