Re: Playing style

My style is "passive"... Weird, since I always try to attack and cut everything, and I play very influence oriented sometimes.

Re: Mediocre

Ehhrm, I don't think there are "mediocre" go players. You aren't making a life out of it you know, neither you are responsable of someone while doing it, so there is no point in being so harsh towards it. You are just learning a game and keeping your own pace (this by itself helps towards making it ...

Re: What do you suggest?

A important thing about your playstyle, it's that is very center oriented, you should know that a playstyle like that is very risky, because it puts emphasize on fighting, invasions, and such, since the idea behind playing with that is basically growing with a territory so large that the other will ...

Re: How to do Tsumego

no, you should always read the variations. When people say do tsumego fast, they don't mean that one shouldn't read them, they mean that one should do easy ones for your level and try to read faster than usually.

Re: Everything wrong, please help me

Didn't knew the joseki, I played lightly because I thought with the wall at the other side I could have some backup in a fight. After checking josekipedia I understand that the jump is used to start a fight

I played another game in KGS, this time I lost, i was so much out of focus when I attacked ...

Re: Everything wrong, please help me

Another weird game on Tygem, this time I played veery poorly and got a lucky win, 147 for example may be my worst move ever done in all my life. Also in 31 I should have played Q11

I tried 5-4 but I think I oriented them in a bad way

Re: About reasons of play

I think it's different to evaluate with the language itself, verbalizing the situation, to evaluate the situations with a go mindset, without speaking really, just by looking or reading what is going on, like using the go experience to evaluate what's going on. I think a lot of people can give ...

About reasons of play

A thing I have wondered lately is if it's really necesary to give reasons to all the moves verbally while playing, I mean, when playing saying in your thinking "I will tenuki this because it's unimportant and humm... That side looks big" affects the play while you are doing it, or if playing one ...

Re: Why don't more people use Tygem?

Take in account that you may be playing with a child (really) or someone that isn't very familiar with computers.

With presets most people greets but still I don't find it so necessary to play a game (taking in account that most games aren't serious anyway)
