I know this is an old thread, but I just came across it. Anyway I just bought a Goban off of eBay that is 4 3/4 inches thick and claims to be Kaya... whether it is or not I cant say (I will continue to investigate), but what I can say is that I have a clean board that is clearly old, but perfectly ...
