Re: Advice for Learning
One thing I'd add is that you make moves pretty quickly. Re: Anyone order from Yellow Mountain Imports before?
That's a really nice set! I think I'm just excited to be able to play with real stones on a full size board. I got a cheap novelty set from Amazon to see if my kids and I would even like Go. It didn't take long to find the answer.
This is the set I have now: http://www.amazon.com/Go ...

Re: Hello
Very cool that you live in Japan! I was there for one year back in my military days but did not get to see as much as I would have liked due to a very hectic life back then.

Re: Hello
Where are you at in Japan?

Re: Hello
Thanks for all of the welcomes.
@goTony: As much as I'd like to be able to answer questions about Japan's go scene, I actually don't know too much about it. I moved here around 4 months ago, and I basically live in the country. The town I live in also doesn't have any Go salons or equivilents. The ...

Re: A Series Of Questions Part 2
1. Do you eat or drink while you play Go? If so, what are your favorites?
If I'm particularly hungry or thirsty, I'll eat or drink something, but I don't have a habit of it one way or the other.
2. Do you have any nervous habits when you play Go?
Behind a computer? Not really. In person, I ...

Hello
I've lurked around these forums for awhile, but decided to make an account so I figured I'd make a post in the introductions section. My name is Nathan and I'm from the U.S. but I currently live in Japan. I've played go for around 4 years now, and have been ranked as high as 4k on KGS, but am ...
