Influence oriented game
So, I played this game, and my opponent immediately opened with a really influence oriented variation on a common joseki. Here is the example in question:

connection joseki
Hi, I recently heard about a book with so called 'connection joseki' the idea being that there are well known ways to invade and connect to outside groups etc.. A google search turned up nothing appropriate except typical joseki books. Does anybody know a book about this?

Thanks a lot for your response.

Same for the monkey jump. I absolutely should've left that.

Handicap game play review
Can somebody give me a critique of this handicap game I played recently on KGS? I feel like my opponent played solidly and wasn't letting me get away with some overplays which I felt were necessary for me to win.
