Hello folks.
I'm looking to post some flyers around my Uni. to inform people of our club.
And I'm wondering if anyone know if there are some free posters around which can be edited for personal use?

Re:
Hi Ares, Congrats. They look very thick and nice!
Yes, usually the new black glass stones have a thin film
of oily substance — must be from the manufacturing process.
Just immerse all the stones in clean water with a little
soap or detergent, rinse and repeat with clean water,
and they will come ...

Re: 10mm or 11mm glass stones.
Just got my stones.
Size ?39? 11mm x 22mm Korean glass stones.
I find it hard to answer all the questions.
I havn't used them much, tho they did arrive earlier today.
I'm not 100% sure, but they do for sure not seem 100% uniform.
Might be possible to see in the pictures as well.
I'm also finding ...

Re: Too old to start?
Have two friends which started around the age of 25.
Both of them used less then 2 years to reach 2 dan KGS.
Everything is possible with effort.

Re:
Hi Ares, please post updates of your experiences
after the new 11mm stones arrive and you start to use them.
Close-up photos from various angles a bonus, for us.
I have had experience with all the different stones and sizes
mentioned so far in this thread, and I have my preferences of course,
but ...

I got this autograph myself, so it's not something which could have been added to the price if that's what you mean.
Tho, for me now it's worth a lot more.

Re: 10mm or 11mm glass stones.
My first experience was with club stones -- 8mm glass
as well as some thinner stones, 7mm and thinner (glass and slate/shell).
Then at my first Go Congress, I was introduced to 10mm plastic Ing stones. I didn't like them. I thought they were too think. But over the years, I've actually like them a ...

Re: Overpriced? Not Agathis?
Thanks for the replays.
I'm happy with my purchase, and because of what's on the back of it, it has sentimental value
Just taught it was strange for a second.
Thanks for the link Bonobo, does put things into perspective.
Now I just have to find out if I want Size 39 or Size 36 stones to go with ...

Re: 10mm or 11mm glass stones.
I think you answered your own question. Personally, I find my 9mm slate & shell quite thick enough.
Thanks for your answer.
I have only used 7mm stones at my Go club, and have no experience with thicker stones.
However if people generally like the look of 11mm over 10mm, and the handling of the ...

Re: Overpriced? Not Agathis?
I live in a country which do not sell Gobans.
So the shipping for a bigger board would cost more then the board.
Are you still sure, because your presentation said Norway and Swedish Gobutiken.se sends to Norway now and I doubt the transport is that much. Although I understand this as a new ...

Re: Overpriced? Not Agathis?
Here are some pictures.
Maybe I'm just going crazy here with the painting.
Maybe it is painted, just not as much as the other Agathis boards I have seen, like: m.
Not sure why that is tho, if that is the case.
And it seems a little red, so tons of miss communication(did not show before I took it ...

Re: Overpriced? Not Agathis?
Might be much easier to judge your puchase if you posted some photos, I think. (Pls use hide tags in case they are large.)
Yes, I’m just curious to see it since I personally know very little of goban/wood quality One question I’d like to ask, though: do you like your Goban? Do you think it is ...

10mm or 11mm glass stones.
I am looking into buying some stones.
Shell are to expensive.
I do not like Yunzi stones.
So I have been looking into Glass stones.
Have found a vendor I wanna buy from.
However I'm not sure if I should go for 10mm(Size 36) or 11mm(Size ?39?) stones.
Have read that everything over 10mm is quite ...

Re: Overpriced? Not Agathis?
If this is Japanese Agathis or not I do not know.
My knowledge on wood is quite poor as well.
Tho, to me it seems three piece Agathis(japanese or not) seems quite expensive at 110 euro.
