17k game review
Another review request. I feel like I've improved a bit lately but there are still many holes in my game. Especially when facing invasions I think I'm throwing away a lot as shown in this game. I luckily end up winning comfortably because he plays far too greedy. The longer the game lasts the more ...

Re: 18k game review
Ohhh, now i see it. Thats indeed a very good shape to remember!
Hi SerDiuK,
The shaped pointed out by schawipp is good, basic, and important to remember.
What's your plan (if any), if inside hane at C4 ?

Re: 18k game review
After the last move in the SGF, white still has a big "endgame" at upper side, did you play it?
I didn't play anything. In all honesty I still don't see it.
:w7: Your refutation of B's weird jump move seems fine to me. W gets a big corner and connection to the side. B doesn't really get much of ...

18k game review
Hey guys. After a long break I've started playing Go again. I had some success initially moving up to 16k on Tygem but I've fallen back to 18k since. Since then I'm trying to play a game every day and reviewing it on KGS after a few hours to improve my game.
This was today's game. This is likely ...

Re: Tenuki after approach
[quote="ez4u"]Play the double approach. It has the added advantage that as a noob you probably will get the chance to study the attach-extend joseki in a situation where it actually makes sense.
White probably continues with either or "a" below. Work on understanding the differences in responding ...

Oh thanks a lot.

This was the situation. Should I enclose my corner then?

Tenuki after approach
Hey guys,
I've had several times that I approach my opponent's 4-4 corner with a knight's move and he does a tenuki that I don't need to respond to.
How do I attack that corner then? Every time it happens to me it tends to end badly.
Thanks.

Re: Game review: Absolute beginner
Thanks for the tip about the first line! That's the kinda simple yet important thing that I was looking for.
A teaching game would certainly be useful!
I was confused about the left group's life or death. Once he plays the stone in the middle of my group, how should I react so that I can score ...

I played this game against an 18k beginner on KGS. My 4th game against a human opponent. I was quite happy I stayed within 80 points this time.
I'm looking for some general hints. I really had no control of the middle.

Re: Hello from Belgium
Thanks, I'll join the KGS group for sure.
I saw about the club in Antwerp before. I'll try to go there sometime this vacation when I don't have football practice.
