Re: Why do people still use the Chinese when it's clearly ba

It is not random. In fact, it is easy to show a diagram where it matters. Outer stones alive, per convention.
Imagine a board at the start of endgame, with many intersections that are dame and will stay dame, because there were a lot of running groups. At this board, number of dame is not only ...

People, can we please not feed the troll?
He's not a troll, as he has 79 posts, most of which don't try to create controversy. If he was one, he would've shown behaviour of one. Also, he would've probably put more thought into this thread, as you're not going to get much trolling done when 50% of ...

Re: I HATE playing go online

Mostly it is about people disconnecting when the position gets complex. They do their reading offline and then come back with very accurate plays.

By "treating people like bots" I meant that even the "hi-thx" is inexistent.
Strange, I meet "unspeakables" even rarer than escapers. And escaping to ...

Re: I HATE playing go online

I recently play less on KGS than before because I've noticed that people there are less polite than I used to remember. Opponents are treated like bots, cheating has become widespread and all of this gives me an uneasy feeling. Of course the wisest course of action would have been to learn from ...
