I just say black, white, black, white etc. In my own language of course.

That background looks nice, where did you find it?
If you mean the kaya texture for the board, it's just something I got from a friend. I think it might be from the Tetsuki 4(?) beta, but I'm not sure. If you want it, just send me a message.

The GUI in gGo and glGo always looked a bit dated to me. I thought it was the stones, but today I tried changing the board texture. And to my surprise it now looked absolutely amazing!
I really think the default board texture should be changed, as well as the fugly green background.

So how is the screen size for playing?
It is excellent. Any smaller & you'd need to zoom or magnify to place stones on a full size board.

It's also large enough for comfortably reading Go pdfs (like Kiseido's Go World Archive) without zooming.

I'm considering to import one. But we don't have ipads in my country yet so i don't have to way to check it out. And I kinda want rumoured the 7" too, but maybe it wouldn't be the same experience as it's quite a bit smaller.

To be perfectly honest, I actually would like a new theme in gGo. Although far better than KGS serves us, it does look a bit dated. The stones looks a bit blurry and a way too "flat", imho.
