Re: The sound of stone on wood?

The sound is a thing indeed.
I have various sets, of different kinds of material, and prefer the sound of the one over the other.
I even have a favorite. It makes a soft, delicate sound, very nice.

Re: My 60 Memorable Games

Most memorable: the time I played a lively old (I think she was 82 yoa at the time) Canadian woman online. Impressive. Her son installed her computer. Nice and friendly chat, lovely lady. It was years ago. I hope she is still well.

Re: [WTS] Selling Slate & Shell Stones from Kurokigoishi + B

As it seems to be the most interesting point for some at the moment here are some more pictures of the warping:

I do hope you are not selling this beautiful set because of the warping, because a nice tatami will prevent wobbling.
I have a kaya board warped much more, but plays perfect on tatami ...

Re: Looking for practical experience

Hello.
1-
I used GnuGo a lot and it helped me to become (a bit) better.
This free software can be downloaded from http://www.gnu.org/software/gnugo/download.html .
I know it is criticized, I know it is outdated, but I just mention it here as a suggestion.

My go club moved the weekly club evening to OGS. We meet same day and time as before, scheduled. Attendance online is lower than in real life though.
Club tournament will be held, but this year online. Discord will be used concurrently for communication (voice and video).
