Thanks. Yes, the dark brown knot (appx 2" in length) on the back of the board is really what seems to be making this too much for me to accept. Actually, the know was the first thing I saw as I took the board out of its box upside down.

Yes, sorry. I didn't want to call out the seller w/o giving them an opportunity to make it right. Suffice it to say they're a major online retailer of go equipment and I paid $240 plus shipping for a new board.
