Re: KGS on your HDTV
Such beautiful logic. Buy stuff that you can't do any maintenance on or replace components of, and you'll never lose time doing such things.
Exactly.
I am more than willing to do this for things of value. That does not include computer maintenance. If computer maintenance is a hobby for itself ...

Re: KGS on your HDTV
It's running Android and allows access to Android Market Apps... so I guess the first step would be just marking the app as runnable on that device (otherwise it would not be shown in the market); a second step that involves a little more work would be a version adapted to the specifics of that ...

If it has to be wood you could try Wood Workshop, a free (as in free beer) software for Windows that lets you generate wooden tiles with a lot of different effects.

Re: Android Overtakes iPhone Sales in Q1
I don't think UMTS is a "synonym" for 3G; they are different technologies.
No. 3G is a shortcut for 3. generation communications technologies; it is not a technology per se but a collective term. UMTS is one of the 3G technologies available; in mobile communications in Europe it is the most ...

Re: Android Overtakes iPhone Sales in Q1
That's pretty cheap for a data plan compared to the costs here in France, but there are two caveats: first, it's only UMTS and not 3G, and second it's limited to 200 MB, which isn't a whole lot if you do a lot of web surfing, or any streaming at all.

Re: Android Overtakes iPhone Sales in Q1
I am stunned by the costs I read here.
I paid 200€ for an Android device (Samsung i5700) and I am very happy with it. My monthly rate is 10€ for a data flat (200MB at UMTS speed, after that GPRS) and no other fees.
